Community is pleased to announce that, following the successful exchange programme involving Ben Golden visiting JRI in Boston, a reciprocal exchange has now been agreed.

In April 2009 JRI will be sending a person who uses their supported living services to work in a volunteer role here with Langdon Community. The person will be working in Manchester for two weeks, then travelling to London to complete the trip with some sight seeing before returning to New England.

The Langdon Employment Team in Manchester will source a local job placement for our American visitor. This is a great opportunity for Langdon people to have a similar experience to that experienced by the JRI people who met and worked with Ben Golden.

We are thankful to Susan Moody, Deirdre Hunter and Bob Richards at JRI for their support and enthusiasm in developing the International Exchange Programme in partnership with Langdon.
