Langdon Community’s Employer of the Year award has been won by  J.A. Hyman (Titanic’s) Ltd the Manchester Kosher food store for it’s commitment to employ people with learning disabilities during 2008 to people from Langdon Community.

Richard Hyman says “If these guy’s are capable of doing the work then why not give them a chance, I also feel that they should be paid the going rate if they are doing the job”.

The award scheme also recognises the efforts of all the companies supporting the Langdon mission.

Stuart Rotherham, Langdon’s Employment Development Advisor went on to add, “Richard is a fantastic employer offering support and guidance to all of his workers and not just the people from Langdon. Titanic’s are fully deserving of this award and if we could find more employers with the same attitude as Richard we can make a real difference to the lives of many more young Jewish people with learning difficulties.”
