The Edgware Community held its second Annual Cheesecake making competition on Sunday 31st May 2009, in celebration of Shavout.

With a fantastic turn out, judging the cakes fell to David Golden and Phillip Vaughan (pictured). Judging was not easy, with 16 different cakes to try from, each recipe lovingly made from scratch. The judges did only eat a small amount of each cake, leaving plenty for guests.

Team 'Freeman/Gardie' won first prize for the second year running, with a unanimous decision from the judges.

Thanks to everyone who took part, worked behind the scenes to make the party happen and the success that it was. A request was made to extend the entries next year to 'all desserts...' more on that to follow. In the meantime, pencil in your diaries next years event for Sunday May 16th 2010 - venue to be arranged!!!
