Norwood is a leading UK charity that supports Jewish children, families and adults with disadvantage or learning disabilities and wherever possible provides services to the wider community. They believe that everyone should be able to reach their full potential and live life to the full, regardless of disadvantage and disability. Every year they provide thousands of children, families and adults with vital, specialised support.
Outreach have twelve residential projects within Prestwich and outlying areas, which encourage community involvement with mainstream society.
People in their care are encouraged to develop independent living skills (according to their ability) and receive support from their staff to facilitate this.
Originally set up as a Jewish organisation, Outreach currently provide services to non-Jewish individuals and work to the principles of "Towards a valued life".
Outreach source meaningful daytime activities and offer a range of group activities alongside their community services sector.
