Services
The main emphasis of our services is of course the provision of a Jewish home life. Whether this is to support someone to live in their own flat, or as part of a group home, or within a Registered Care Home, our aim is to enable people to actively participate in both the local Jewish and wider community.
Supported Living Service – People are tenants in their own right with the Langdon Foundation providing a range of suitable flats and houses located in close proximity to each other. Langdon Community provides support packages offering assistance with budgeting, shopping and many other independent living skills tasks.
Employment – At Langdon we believe that everyone has the right to work. We provide assistance with finding job vacancies, completing application forms, preparing for interviews and making the transition from Social Security Benefits to paid employment. We also work with people to develop new employment skills. Whether you are looking for part time Voluntary work or Full Time Paid Employment we can help you reach your goal.
24 Hour On Call – One of the obstacles to independence for many people is the concern about dealing with problems and emergencies on their own. Langdon offers the support and assistance from our Management Team. With this reassurance many people feel able to make the step to a home of their own.
Social & Recreational – In addition to a range of organised events & activities we also provide support to identify and access your own choice of social and recreational opportunities. Langdon also offers support with arranging your own annual vacation with a wide range of destinations and activity. Key to this is the enhanced staffing support and contingency planning to ensure that your vacation is a success.
Residential Care Home – For those people requiring a higher level of support to enable them to live away from the Family home Langdon offers a Residential Care Home option. Based in Manchester, Clore House offers all of the same services and supports as we do to those people who live in our Supported Living Service
