Senior Support Worker

John hails from Derry City, Northern Ireland. I came to England in 1996 to study Sport Science at University in London. Having moved to Manchester in 2000 I spent time considering career options before seeing and advert for a job at Langdon Community.
I applied for the job at Langdon having had no experience in the type of work but confident that I could pick it up quite quickly. After six months I started my NVQ3 in Promoting Independent Living and successfully applied for a Senior Support Worker posts. Working at Tewkesbury Drive, Legh Street worker setting up Woodland Crescent, where I have been working since and just have now completed my NVQ4.
